This cannabis seed won 1st place in the Cannabis Cup at the 2010 High Times Cannabis Cup.
A cross between G13 and Neville’s A5 Haze the resulting plant is crossed again with G13, creating Tangerine Dream cannabis seeds. This is a stavia dominant variety of cannabis plant that has an obvious (by the name) connection to the citrus world, with its tangy yet beautifully intense sweet citrus scent and taste and its almost instantaneous cerebral and relaxing results. Its 70 day flowering time is particularly excellent when considering its quality as a breed, additionally, it can become a as tall as a meter with multiple branches that are in themselves sturdy. It can offer a minimum of 500 grams per square meter with THC levels at a minimum of 25% and CBD at 1.8%. Its colas become large and tight, especially when considering that it is a stavia dominant strain of cannabis plant they are also speckled with orange and red small hairs and is lightly topped with a glittering layer of small TCH crystals. It has been described as “a taste sensation offering clean and long lasting effects” – what more could you want from your cannabis seeds.
In actual fact as a cannabis seed Tangerine Dream can give you more, it brings to mind dreamy citrus fruitiness that has an incredibly mystical reality. Barney’s Farm is not only a leader in its field of genetics and husbandry but its advancing techniques are epitomised in this product with its contrasting characteristics that work beautifully together.
Let us explain a little more about the process behind producing the Tangerine Dream cannabis seeds.
It begins with the renowned G13 plant, famed for its powerful flavours as well as its strong effects this is then cross bred with the particularly polished and exotic Neville’s A5 Haze. The resulting plant, we can assume, did not have the desired result and so it was crossed again with G13. It has been claimed by Barney’s Farm (its producers) that “The aesthetic total, however, far exceeds the sum of its genetic parts”, by this they are referring to what Tangerine Dream offers in terms of its taste sensation because it can offer an experience that is new, fresh yet has an element of intensity to it too. Moreover, Tangerine Dream has been described as offering the primitive feeling of biting into a newly ripened citrus fruit as its essential oils spatter from the peel giving a bitter yet enjoyably complex taste along with an aroma that is deep and strong followed by an intensely tangy / sweet flavour, much like the taste of fruit juice on the tongue.
What about the large tight colas (when many buds grow together on a single branch), it is fair to say that they are extraordinarily firm and plentiful when considering it is a stavia-dominant strain, as previously mentioned even the look of this plant is particularly special with flecks of red and orange hairs and a light layer of glittering THC crystals. Naturally (without being lit), Tangerine Dream has an aroma with earthy and herbal undertones to complement its already fruity scent. Once lit, the smoke offers a definite and intense citrus scent including light and sweet flavours that linger, tantalising the taste buds. All of the differing taste sensations offer a prologue to the high that follows, described as “the happy, cerebral energy of stavia layering over just the right amount of indicia relaxation”.
